Helios Towers tightens guidance and confident of further growth ahead
Helios Towers PLC on Thursday lifted the bottom-end of full-year guidance and set out ambitions for further growth in 2027 after reporting increased earnings and revenue in its third quarter.
The London-based telecommunications tower owner expects 2026 adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of around USD535 million against the prior guidance range of USD520 million to USD535 million. It expects 2026 tenancy additions of 4,000 versus prior guidance of 3,500 to 4,000.
In 2025, Helios Towers reported adjusted Ebitda of USD471 million and net additions of 2,538.
In the first nine months of 2026, adjusted Ebitda rose 13% to USD392.2 million from USD345.6 million with operating profit of USD259.1 million, up 23% from USD211.2 million.
Revenue increased 13% to USD718.8 million from USD634.5 million, mainly driven by tenancy growth and supplemented by power price escalations, with tenancies up by 12% to 35,379 from 31,531.
Recurring free cash flow increased by 10% year-on-year to USD133.7 million from USD121.3 million, driven by adjusted Ebitda growth, partially offset by typical variations in timing of customer payments.
"We continue to deliver strong operational and financial performance, underpinned by exceptional and accelerating customer demand across our markets. With record tenancy additions, sustained double-digit earnings growth and strong cash flow generation, we have tightened our full-year guidance upwards, reinforcing our confidence in the outlook for 2026," said Chief Executive Tom Greenwood.
"This momentum is expected to continue into 2027, and we expect to deliver over 3,000 tenancies next year, supporting continued double-digit [adjusted] Ebitda growth," he added.
"The opportunity across Africa and the Middle East is very compelling. Rapid population growth, increasing mobile penetration and accelerating data consumption continue to drive ever more demand for our infrastructure," the CEO continued.
Shares in Helios Towers were up 6.3% at 227.00 pence each in London on Thursday.
