Hercules Academy secures GBP310,000 in new training awards
Hercules PLC on Monday said its academy has secured new funded training awards, expanded its national delivery footprint and strengthened relationships with major public sector organisations since May.
The Cirencester, England-based labour supply company for the UK infrastructure and construction sectors highlighted new funded training awards worth around £310,000, which will support new entrants into the construction industry and upskill existing workers.
The academy was established more than two years ago and has trained more than 2,500 individuals since then, Hercules said.
Hercules has been appointed to the West Midlands Combined Authority's Preferred Provider List, giving it access to future funded training opportunities across the region.
The company is now working with seven HM Prison establishments, up from three in 2025, delivering education and employment programmes.
Hercules said commercial pilot programmes are underway with major infrastructure clients, with further opportunities under evaluation.
Chief Executive Officer Brusk Korkmaz said: "The Academy is becoming an increasingly important strategic asset for Hercules. It not only develops the skilled workforce our clients require but also creates additional commercial opportunities while delivering genuine social value through education, employment and rehabilitation.
"With further funding decisions expected in the coming months, we remain excited about the Academy's growth prospects and its contribution to the Group's long-term strategy."
Shares in Hercules were down 5.7% at 37.73 pence on Monday afternoon in London.
