Integrated Diagnostics sees profit, revenue jump amid "strong" demand

Integrated Diagnostics Holdings PLC on Friday said that good underlying demand and higher patient throughput boosted its interim revenue and profit.

The diagnostic services provider with operations in Egypt, Jordan, Nigeria, Sudan and Saudi Arabia said pretax profit jumped 44% to EGP1.32 billion, about £19.1 million, in the first half of 2026, from EGP913.3 million a year prior.

Revenue climbed 37% to EGP4.86 billion from EGP3.54 billion.

Chief Executive Officer Hend El-Sherbini celebrated "strong underlying demand across the group's operating markets, supported by continued branch expansion, higher patient throughput across both contract and walk-in segments, and growing utilisation of specialised diagnostics and radiology services."

She added: "While profitability continued to reflect the impact of planned growth investments, including the ramp-up of Biolab KSA [in Saudi Arabia] and continued expansion of the radiology platform, the group maintained healthy margins supported by disciplined cost management, procurement optimisation, and operational execution."

Cost of sales increased 34% to EGP2.75 billion from EGP2.05 billion, while administrative expenses were 15% higher, at EGP453.0 million compared to EGP392.6 million.

Marketing and advertising costs increased 59% to EGP307.8 million from EGP193.3 million.

CEO El-Sherbini said: "Looking ahead, our priorities remain clear. We will continue expanding access to high-quality diagnostics in structurally attractive markets, deepening our specialised service offering, and enhancing value per patient through a broader and more integrated platform. At the same time, we remain focused on operational efficiency, disciplined capital allocation, and maintaining the flexibility of our asset-light model.

"While we continue to monitor macroeconomic and regional developments closely, the progress achieved during the first half reinforces our confidence in IDH's ability to sustain growth, protect profitability, and deliver long-term value for patients, employees, and shareholders."

Integrated Diagnostics shares were 2.3% higher at 53 US cents on Friday around noon in London.
