MTI Wireless outlook confident as interim profit rises, citing demand

MTI Wireless Edge Ltd on Monday announced a rise in interim pretax profit and revenue as it noted "particularly strong" demand for Mottech's services across international markets.

The Rosh-Ha'Ayin, Israel-based communication and radio frequency solution provider said pretax profit rose 27% to USD2.9 million in the first half of 2026, from USD2.3 million a year prior.

Revenue climbed 11% to USD26.7 million from USD24.1 million. Cost of sales increased 8.5% to USD17.7 million from USD16.3 million.

MTI Wireless said water scarcity remaining a critical global issue is driving demand for products which can efficiently manage irrigation and water distribution.

The firm said that its water control & distribution business Mottech "delivered an excellent period of outperformance" with sales up 31% and operating profit surging 51%.

It added: "Demand for Mottech's services was particularly strong across international markets with North America, Italy and the Arabian Gulf being key contributors to growth."

Looking ahead, the company said: "Against an uncertain geopolitical backdrop, increased defence spending is likely to remain a global priority, resulting in further strategic momentum for MTI. Trading in Q3 has started well, with activity weighted towards the delivery of orders already secured, and this provides the board good visibility on the group's performance for the year.

MTI enters the second half of the year in a position of real strength. It is a diversified business, with a robust balance sheet and three divisions each pursuing clear objectives. Supported by a healthy pipeline of opportunities, the board remains confident that the group will continue to trade in line with market expectations for the full year."

MTI Wireless shares fell 2.3% to 64.97 pence each on Monday morning in London.
