NCC says reviewing all options including possible takeover

NCC Group PLC on Wednesday said it is reviewing all options for the business including a possible takeover.

In April, the Manchester, England-based cybersecurity company said it was investigating a number of options for its Escode business including a potential sale.

On Wednesday, NCC said this process is continuing but there can be no certainty that it will result in a transaction that the board would be happy to recommend.

In addition, NCC noted recent media speculation and confirmed that it is in the early stages of commencing a review of all strategic options for its Cyber business in the event the sale of the Escode business is agreed.

NCC said the cyber review is at a very preliminary stage and includes a range of potential outcomes, including potential offers for the company.

No decision has been made regarding which options will be pursued, NCC added

‘The company is not in discussions with, nor in receipt of any approach from, any potential offeror at the time of this announcement,’ NCC stressed.

Shares in NCC closed up 0.4% at 141.60 pence each in London on Wednesday for a market value of £446.0 million.
