One Health Group eyes continued rise in demand for services from NHS

One Health Group PLC on Friday said it expects continued growth in demand for its services from the National Health Service during its current financial year that runs until the end of March.

The Sheffield, England-based independent provider of surgical procedures funded by the NHS held its annual general meeting on Friday.

One Health said demand for NHS-funded elective care remains significant, as the firm is "well positioned" to continue supporting patients by providing care in areas with low NHS provision.

The firm added: "Construction of our first surgical hub in Scunthorpe remains a key strategic milestone. I am delighted that the project is progressing well and remains on track to be delivered within the one-year construction period and within the original £8 million to £9 million construction cost estimate. The facility is expected to open in spring 2027."

The company will publish a trading update for the six months to September 30 in late October.

Chair Derek Bickerstaff said: "We anticipate continued growth in demand for our services from the NHS during FY 2027 and beyond, alongside the progression of our first surgical hub, which will deliver strategically important surgical capacity growth in underserved areas. The Company remains well placed to support the increasing demands of NHS commissioners and NHS patients through the delivery of more local healthcare, free at the point of use."

One Health shares were up 0.6% at 290.10 pence each on Friday afternoon in London.
