Porvair expects 2026 results ahead of market consensus as sales grow
Porvair PLC on Tuesday said it expects to beat market consensus for its 2026 results, after trading remained on track in the first nine months and recent acquisitions supported revenue growth.
Shares in the group, which specialises in manufacturing filtration systems and laboratory equipment, rose 2.5% to 902.00 pence on Tuesday morning in London.
The Norfolk, England-based company said trading was in line with expectations in the nine months to August 31, with revenue growing 14% on a constant-currency basis.
The company said the increase reflected a contribution from Drache Umwelttechnik GmbH, the German molten metal filtration specialist it acquired in January for EUR20.5 million. Porvair said the integration of Drache was progressing to plan.
On an organic basis at constant currency, Porvair delivered revenue growth of 5.0%.
The company said the performance demonstrated the "resilience of Porvair's diversified portfolio amid varied conditions across the group's end markets."
It said the order book was strong in the aerospace sector and the nuclear market, while sales in the petrochemical market "remained subdued as expected."
"Market conditions in Europe are expected to remain challenging for the balance of 2026 and into 2027," Porvair said.
However, the company said it expects full-year trading to be slightly ahead of market expectations following the EUR6.7 million acquisition of GV Filtri Industriali Srl earlier this month.
"Underlying trading across the group remains in line with the board's expectations for the full year, supported by a diversified customer base, strong recurring revenue streams and disciplined operational management," Porvair said.
In Life Sciences, Porvair said the division continued to grow, supported by consistent demand for consumables, while demand for laboratory instruments was more moderate.
It described demand in the environmental testing market as "encouraging".
