Quilter net inflows top PS2 billion as assets under management rise

Quilter PLC on Wednesday said net inflows exceeded the £2 billion mark for the third quarter in a row, underpinning strong assets under management.

The London-based wealth manager recorded assets under management and administration of £134.9 billion as at September 30, up 16% from £116.2 billion a year before. They also were up 9.3% from £123.4 billion on June 30, reflecting net inflows and market movements.

Net inflows were £2.12 billion in the third quarter, up 54% from £1.38 billion a year before, exceeding £2 billion for a third successive quarter, Quilter noted.

Core net inflow was £2.22 billion in the third quarter, up from £1.51 billion a year before.

For the nine months to September 30, core net inflows were £6.7 billion, which Quilter noted surpassed the £5.2 billion booked for 2024 as a whole.

Quilter said both affluent and high net worth segments had strong net inflows in the third quarter.

‘Our business is demonstrating strong consistency, delivering in excess of £2 billion of net flows in each quarter of this year,’ Chief Executive Officer Steven Levin said.

Ahead of the UK government budget in November, Quilter said potential policy changes should be consistent with the wider goal of building a broader investment culture in the UK, noting heightened speculation over personal tax changes that may hit households.

Shares in Quilter were up 2.9% to 176.80 pence in London on Wednesday morning. They were up 1.6% to R 41.04 in Johannesburg.
