Revolution Beauty shares rise as hails turnaround plan, profit path

Revolution Beauty Group PLC on Thursday said its turnaround strategy is gathering pace, noting an improvement in gross margin and a swing to adjusted profit, while it traded "comfortably" ahead of market expectations.

The London-based beauty products company said first-half adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation are expected to be at least £2.0 million in the six months to August 31, swinging from a £12.5 million loss a year earlier.

Revolution Beauty shares jumped 11% to 4.72 pence each on Thursday around noon in London.

Revenue is expected to be broadly flat on-year despite the prior period benefiting from discount sales and discontinued products, while gross margin improved by more than 10 percentage points.

For the first financial half of 2026, the six months to August 31, 2025, it had reported revenue of £49.4 million and a gross margin of 32.2%.

Revolution Beauty said it has now achieved positive Ebitda in every month for the past 12 months, supported by continued cost discipline.

Online sales rose 22% in the first half, while order books indicate that changes to products and ranges are gaining traction with retail customers.

With the second half seasonally stronger, the company said it is trading "comfortably ahead" of market expectations.

Revolution Beauty will publish half-year results on October 27.
