Synectics wins contract extension with casino operator in Asia

Synectics PLC on Wednesday reported it has won a five-year extension to an existing contract with an unnamed ‘major’ casino operator in South-East Asia.

The Sheffield, England-based provider of advanced security and surveillance systems solutions said the deal was worth at least $4.8 million, with ‘one of the world’s most successful and high-profile gaming resorts’.

Under the terms of the contract, Synectics will continue to provide the client with its Synergy software platform.

Synectics said the contract reflected the client’s ‘ongoing confidence in the platform, underpinned by Synergy’s scalability and flexibility to grow with the resort’s development, its proven ability to adapt and expand functionality in response to evolving requirements,’ and the value of Synectics’ on-site support.

‘We look forward to continuing this successful collaboration as we deliver mission-critical software support, reinforcing our position as a trusted long-term technology partner to one of the world’s leading casino operators,’ said Chief Executive Officer & Chief Financial Officer Amanda Larnder.

Shares in Synectics were up 3.4% at 320.60 pence each in London on Wednesday afternoon. The stock is up 83% over the past year.
