Tap Global says beats market expectations; targets more consensus beats

Tap Global Group PLC on Thursday said it outperformed market expectations during its financial year.

The London-based cryptocurrency payment and settlement operator said revenue was £3.0 million in the financial year ended June 30, which it said was 7% higher than market expectations of £2.8 million.

Adjusted loss before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation was around £260,000, or 80% better than an expected adjusted Ebitda loss of £1.3 million.

The company noted that Tap Earn assets climbed 43% between mid-May and mid-June, which it said was ahead of board expectations for the programme's first-year assets under management.

Tap Earn assets under management have surpassed USD5.6 million, up 61% in three months, the firm said.

Tap Global says Tap Earn offers "customers competitive variable yields on eligible cryptocurrency and stablecoin holdings".

Tap Global noted that bitcoin reached an all-time high of USD126,198 back in October 2025, before it roughly halved, closing the financial year at around USD58,500.

The firm said it believes financial year 2026 showed the resilience of its diversified, fee-based model.

Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder Arsen Torosian said: "In crypto's hardest year since 2022, Tap has outperformed market expectations for revenue and Ebitda. I believe if Tap can deliver in these market conditions, it is well placed to perform strongly when the cycle turns."

He added: "FY26 proved the model in difficult conditions where current market expectations have been exceeded. FY27 is about scaling, sustained profitability and exceeding current market expectations."

For financial year 2027, the company cited market expectations of a revenue of £3.7 million and an adjusted Ebitda loss of £200,000.

Tap Global shares closed 4.6% higher at 1.15 pence each on Thursday in London.
