Tekmar says Jan De Nul partnership shows 'confidence' in offering

Tekmar Group PLC on Wednesday said it has signed a pact with Jan De Nul Group for work related to a cable protection system.

The technology and services provider for the offshore energy industry said the framework agreement is for the engineering, manufacturing and supply of a 10th generation cable protection system supporting the TenneT grid connection project in Germany.

‘The first awards under the agreement cover two projects. Work has commenced immediately on the first project with delivery expected in FY2027. The second project will be delivered in FY2028,’ Tekmar said.

Capellen, Luxembourg-based Jan De Nul provides equipment used in the water, land and energy spaces.

Tekmar shares rose 3.0% to 6.31 pence each in London on Wednesday.

Tekmar Chief Executive Officer Richard Turner said: ‘We are delighted to extend our relationship with Jan De Nul through this new framework agreement. It demonstrates the confidence placed in Tekmar’s engineering expertise and delivery capability, while providing a clear pathway of multi-project opportunities in the growing German offshore wind market.’
