TRADING UPDATES: JPM Global Core liquidation; IGC shareholder's rebuke

The following is a round-up of updates by London-listed companies, issued on Thursday and not separately reported by Alliance News:

----------

Rome Resources PLC - mineral explorer with tin project in Democratic Republic of the Congo - Updates on ongoing exploration operations at optioned claims in southwest New Brunswick, Canada. "A field campaign is underway and initial assays returned from surface outcrop samples and trenching of key mineralised zones will commence imminently," Rome says. Exploration continues in the greisenised roof area of the Mount Douglas Granite, a highly area prospective for tin, tungsten and indium and close to the Mount Pleasant deposit. Outcrop sampling returns assays of up to 0.6% tin, 0.2% tungsten, 0.8% bismuth, 17 parts per million indium and 1.5% copper. Confirms several areas of historically identified mineralisation as well as new areas. Says New Brunswick "continues to be a very welcoming jurisdiction for critical minerals development." Chief Executive Officer Paul Barrett comments: "These initial results at New Brunswick are highly encouraging, pointing to extensive mineralisation for tin and tungsten, along with the potential for higher value critical metals such as indium and bismuth. I am extremely pleased with the progress to date and we look forward to the trenching operations and the subsequent assay reporting, ultimately leading to a drill campaign in 2027, subject to the exercise of the option. Canada is a world-class mining jurisdiction and will be a key cornerstone of the future critical metals value chain."

JPMorgan Global Core Real Assets Ltd - investor in infrastructure, transportation and real estate assets - Shareholders at general meeting vote to place the company into voluntary liquidation with immediate effect. Linda Maree Johnson and Mark Russell Kelly of KPMG Advisory Ltd are appointed as liquidators.

----------

Irish Continental Group PLC - Dublin-based ferry operator - Pageant Investments Ltd says it opposes the adjournment of the scheme meeting scheduled for Friday. IGC on Wednesday said it is considering the move to give shareholders additional time to consider the takeover bid by Bluefin Bidco Ltd and cast their votes. While a "clear majority" of shareholders support offer the 75% threshold has not yet been reached, ICG said Wednesday. Shareholders are currently considering the EUR1.2 billion in total, or EUR8.00 per share, offer from Bluefin. Pageant comments: The independent board has not stated that shareholders requested an adjournment, nor identified any new information affecting the merits of the offer. The half-year results have already been published, and the intermediary voting deadlines were known well in advance and expressly acknowledged by the independent board. The only apparent material change is that the votes cast to date are insufficient to secure the required approval. The independent board's change of position lacks credibility. Shareholders have had the opportunity to consider the offer and have exercised their voting rights. An adjournment would give the bidder and the independent board more time to alter an outcome they oppose. This would reinforce Pageant's concerns as to whether the independent board is acting even-handedly in the interests of all shareholders - including those who voted against the transaction.
