TruFin says Watrium now has 44.78% stake in the company

TruFin PLC on Wednesday said Watrium AS now holds a 44.78% stake in the company.

The London-based financial technology firm returned £80 million to shareholders in July through a tender offer and special dividend. Watrium, TruFin's largest shareholder, did not participate in the tender offer, increasing its stake above 30%.

Oslo-based investment firm Watrium subsequently sought shareholder approval for a Takeover Code waiver, which was approved on July 27.

Following completion of the tender offer and approval of the waiver, Watrium's stake in TruFin increased to 44.78%.

TruFin shares closed up 0.4% at 139.00 pence in London on Wednesday.
