UK annual average house price growth slows to 3.0% in August? ONS

Average UK monthly private rents growth slowed in September, data published by the Office for National Statistics showed Wednesday.

Average UK monthly private rents increased by 5.5% annually in September, standing at £1,354, and a deceleration from 5.7% growth in August.

Average rents rose the most in September in Wales and Northern Ireland, both 7.1%, followed by 5.5% in England and 3.4% in Scotland.

Meanwhile in August, average UK house prices were up 3.0% on-year to £273,000, the pace of growth slowed from a 3.2% increase in July, the latter however was revised up from 2.8%.
