Unilever's Magnum Ice Cream to begin London, Amsterdam trading

Unilever PLC’s Magnum Ice Cream Co NV on Wednesday said it is set to commence trading on the London Stock Exchange and Euronext Amsterdam on Monday, after securing the necessary regulatory approvals.

Magnum Ice Cream said its prospectus relating to the admission of its shares to both markets has been approved by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets and the UK Financial Conduct Authority.

The approval relates to listing and trading of its ordinary shares on Euronext Amsterdam, and the listing on the Equity Shares (Commercial Companies) category of the FCA’s Official List, and trading on the LSE’s Main Market.

Admission and trading is proposed to occur on Monday following its demerger with Unilever, which anticipated to take place on Saturday.

Magnum Ice Cream added that it in early November it submitted the required filing of its registration statement with the US Securities & Exchange Commission in connecting with its planned NYSE listing.

The company expects this statement to become effective on Thursday this week.

Unilever shares were down 0.5% at 4,460.00 pence on Wednesday afternoon in London.
