Vodafone enters deal to buy Skaylink for EU175 million

Vodafone Group PLC on Thursday announced it entered into a binding deal to buy Skaylink GmbH, primarily from funds managed by Waterland.

Vodafone, a Berkshire, England-based telecommunications provider, said it will pay €175 million for the company which leads a full-service cloud with offices throughout Germany and across Europe.

Skaylink has over 500 professionals who manage cloud deployments and migrations across Microsoft and Amazon Web Services environments.

Vodafone expects the acquisition to complete by the end of March 2026.

Vodafone said: ‘Skaylink’s customer-centric business model, capabilities and market presence will provide Vodafone’s business and public sector customers with access to an enhanced suite of digital services and support. The transaction is part of Vodafone Business’ ambition to accelerate growth in key areas such as security, managed services and cloud.’

Vodafone shares were up 0.2% at 91.14 pence each on Thursday morning in London.
