We have removed the Stewart Investors Asia Pacific Leaders and Stewart Investors Worldwide All Cap funds from our Favourite funds list following the departure of portfolio managers David Gait and Sashi Reddy, as well as Sujaya Desai, a third member of the team. The departures deprive the team of its most experienced investors in David and Sashi, whilst also reducing the capacity for quality stock analysis given all members of the team undertake stock research, inclusive of David, Sashi and Sujaya.

David Gait and Sashi Reddy were named portfolio managers on the Stewart Investors Asia Pacific Leaders fund alongside Douglas Ledingham. Additionally, David co-managed the Stewart Investors Worldwide All Cap fund with Nick Edgerton. Whilst Douglas and Nick remain in place, we believe the three departures leave the funds understrength from both a portfolio management and stock research perspective, hence our removing of the funds from the list.

Both funds invest with a dual mandate of seeking to provide long-term capital growth whilst investing in companies that contribute to, and benefit from, sustainable development. We will be considering a number of potential replacements for our Favourite funds list over the coming months that also have dual investment and sustainability mandates.
