Danni Hewson is AJ Bell's Head of Financial Analysis. She joined the company in 2021 and is responsible for producing analysis and commentary across a broad range of subjects, from financial markets to economics and personal finance. She has a degree in English Language and Literature from DeMontfort University and a post-graduate diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Leeds Trinity University.
Previously, Danni spent more than 19 years at the BBC, presenting and reporting on business news across a variety of programmes including BBC Breakfast, BBC News Channel, BBC Look North and Radio 5 Live’s flagship business programme ‘Wake up to Money’. She’s a regular contributor on TV and radio outlets including LBC, Times Radio, Good Morning Britain and Talk TV. She has interviewed Prime Ministers, business leaders and more than a few celebrities over the years.
She has spent time exploring the UK’s business landscape such as oil rigs off the coast of Scotland, the UK’s last deep coal mine and manufacturers of products from aeroplane hydraulics to super cars.
Danni is also one of the founding ambassadors of AJ Bell’s Money Matters campaign, which is aimed at helping women become more confident with their finances. She hosts a bi-weekly podcast covering a range of topics and writes articles for the Money Matters domain.
Outside of work, Danni loves baking and boxing and is a mum of two teenage girls.
