What verification documents do I need to send when funding my account?

Acceptable supporting documentation depends on the source of your funds. In all instances, we require:

  • Evidence which supports the total amount of money being deposited
  • A bank statement showing the funds in your account

Examples of acceptable documents are:

Employment income
  • Payslips from the previous 3 months
  • Bank statements showing pay from the previous 3 months
  • Employer letter stating earnings on letter headed paper
  • Tax statement/tax return

And

  • A bank statement showing the funds
Savings
  • Documents evidencing the source of the savings i.e. employment income as above

And

  • A bank statement showing the funds
Investments
  • Investment certificates/contract notes
  • Portfolio statements
  • Confirmation from the investment company on letter headed paper

And

  • A bank statement showing the funds
Inheritance
  • A signed copy of the will
  • Grant of probate/official court document
  • A letter from a solicitor on letter headed paper

And

  • A bank statement showing the funds
Sale of property
  • Sales contract signed by both parties
  • Completion statement
  • A letter from a solicitor, auditor, or regulated accountant on letter headed paper

And

Business revenue
  • Business bank statements from the previous three months

  • Signed loan contract

Unfortunately, we don’t accept photographs of supporting documents. Requiring documents to be scanned ensures consistency in the image quality and reduces the risk of us accepting fake documentation. As such, please ensure all copy documents are scanned and certified before sending them.
