What’s the status of my transfer?

To check on the progress of your transfer from another provider to AJ Bell, just click 'Transfers' once logged into your account.

We'll send you an email once your transfer is complete and we've received all the investments and any cash from your previous provider.

Why can't I track my transfer online?

If you can't see your transfer being tracked, we may not have received your transfer form, which can take a few days for us to receive and process.

In other cases, you won't be able to track your transfer online. These include:

  • Transferring to an account to which you have linked access (the account holder will need to log in to their account to check the status of their transfer)
  • Transferring to a Junior ISA or Junior SIPP for which you are the guardian (you can track the transfer by logging in to your child’s account)

Transferring a pension to us

Pension transfer rules are in place to reduce the risk of customers falling victim to pension scams. These rules require trustees and administrators of pension schemes to carefully consider requests to transfer to another scheme.

In most cases, these rules won’t delay your pension transfer. But sometimes, more information might be needed. If so, you’ll either be asked to supply it yourself, or it will need to come from us, as the trustee/administrator for your AJ Bell SIPP.

We work closely with other providers to ensure your transfer is processed as quickly as possible.
