AB Dynamics appoints Andrew Lewis as interim CFO as search continues

AB Dynamics PLC on Thursday said it has appointed Andrew Lewis as interim chief financial officer, effective immediately.

The Bradford, England-based testing firm operating in the transport market is refreshing its C-level executives after Sarah Matthews-DeMers was appointed as chief executive officer last October while serving as CFO herself.

She took up the role in December, leaving the CFO seat vacant.

AB Dynamics’ board started a formal process to identify the company’s next CFO and ‘this comprehensive search is progressing as planned’, but given the time it may take to find a permanent executive it decided to ‘make an interim appointment’.

Lewis has over 30 years of experience in finance, primarily within FTSE 250 engineering firms, having been the CFO for Avon Rubber PLC from 2008 to 2016, before switching to Chemring Group PLC, where he served until 2024.

AB Dynamics Chief Executive Officer Sarah Matthews-DeMers said: ‘Andrew is a seasoned CFO with an excellent reputation and track record in the public markets and will be a valuable addition to the team, supporting the group until a permanent CFO is in place.’

AB Dynamics shares were up 3.8% at 1,286.70 pence each on Thursday afternoon in London.
