Ajax ups Reveille stake; Reveille appoints Mike Pompeo as chair
Ajax Resources PLC on Tuesday said it had increased its investment in Reveille Resources PLC, as Reveille announced the appointment of Mike Pompeo as non-executive chair.
The London-based natural resources investment company, Reveille's second-largest shareholder, acquired a further 2.0 million Reveille ordinary shares and 2.0 million warrants from Santa Devota Srl for total consideration of £102,500.
Following the acquisition, Ajax will hold 14.0 million Reveille shares, representing 17.52% of the company's issued share capital. Following the transaction, Santa Devota, which was wholly owned and controlled by former Reveille non-executive director Antonio Barani, no longer has an interest in Reveille.
Shares in Reveille jumped 34% to 9.75 pence each on the Aquis Stock Exchange in London on Tuesday morning, while shares in Ajax Resources were flat at 6.00p each.
Elsewhere, Reveille announced the appointment of former US secretary of state and CIA director Mike Pompeo as non-executive chair.
Reveille, an Italy-focused uranium exploration and development company, said Pompeo will provide strategic leadership to the board and support Reveille's development as an internationally recognised uranium exploration and development company.
He will advise on energy security, critical minerals and nuclear fuel supply chains, while supporting engagement with Italian government and institutional stakeholders, US investors and potential strategic partners.
Pompeo will also assist the company in evaluating uranium exploration and development opportunities in Italy and other Western-aligned jurisdictions.
Pompeo, who has Italian heritage and family roots in the Abruzzo region, said: "I am enthusiastic to join a highly driven board with a clear focus on building an internationally relevant uranium company. I look forward to helping Reveille engage constructively with Italian stakeholders, broaden its access to US institutional capital and funding, and evaluate further opportunities to strengthen its position in this strategically important sector."
The appointment is subject to customary regulatory due diligence and onboarding requirements.
Following Pompeo's appointment, Andrea Cattaneo will move from chair to non-executive deputy chair. Cattaneo is chief executive of Zenith Energy Ltd, Reveille's largest shareholder.
Reveille is focused on uranium exploration and development in Italy, with exploration licence applications covering the Novazza and Val Vedello projects in Lombardy progressing through the environmental assessment process.
