Avation inks six-year lease with Clic Air, enters South America
Avation PLC on Wednesday said it has signed a six-year lease agreement with Colombian carrier Clic Air SA for an ATR 72-600 aircraft, marking the aircraft lessor’s first foray into the South American market.
The Singapore-based aircraft leasing company said the aircraft is currently being returned by its previous operator and will be delivered to Clic Air in the coming weeks. The handover will take place after standard maintenance checks and inspections are completed.
Avation Chair Jeff Chatfield said: ‘We are pleased to have secured a new six year lease for this aircraft which marks a key milestone in our growth story with the entry of Avation into the South American market, and we are delighted to welcome Clic Air as a new customer.’
Shares in Avation were down 4.2% at 137.50 pence in London on Wednesday afternoon.
