IN BRIEF: Begbies Traynor immediately promotes Mark Fry to CEO

Begbies Traynor Group PLC - Manchester, England-based insolvency advisor - Promotes Mark Fry, executive director and head of restructuring and advisory services, to chief executive officer, effective immediately, which Begbies says is a newly created role on the group board. Fry joined Begbies in 2005 and led its restructuring and advisory division since 2010. ‘The group has grown significantly over the last ten years, in which time we have tripled the size of the business with a six-fold increase in adjusted profit before tax. As a result, the board has been considering the optimum leadership structure to reflect the current size of the group and its growth ambitions,’ Begbies says. Executive Chair Ric Traynor, who remains in his role, says: ‘Having significantly grown the group over the last ten years, now is the time to evolve and optimise our leadership structure. The changes being implemented will enable us to both manage the increased scale of the Begbies Traynor Group, whilst ensuring we have the right team in place to achieve our growth ambitions.’
