IN BRIEF: Berkeley CFO joins chair in buying shares after price tumble

Berkeley Group Holdings PLC - Surrey, England-based housebuilder - Jane Eady, wife of Chief Financial Officer Neil Eady, buys 1,750 shares at £28.86, worth £50,497, on Wednesday. Executive Chair Robert Perrins also bought company shares on Wednesday, buying 7,000 at £28.78, worth £201,482. Berkeley shares fell on Wednesday after it said it has decided to halt land buying amid a UK housing market downturn caused by the conflict in the Middle East. Berkeley also cited an ‘unprecedented’ increase in cost and regulation in the UK in recent years, at a time of increasing interest rates and faltering consumer confidence.
