IN BRIEF: Bezant Resources increases holding in Hope and Gorub to 90%

Bezant Resources PLC - London-based copper and gold exploration company - Agrees to acquire an additional 20% stake in Hope and Gorub Mining Pty Ltd for £1.11 million, increasing its interest in the Namibian-registered firm to 90%. Bezant’s consideration is split between £577,000 in shares and £577,000 in staged cash payments to be settled in May. Bezant says the purchase is made in line with its 2018 acquisition agreement ‘which contemplated inter alia the acquisition of an additional 20% in Hope & Gorob.’ MKH Tangible Investments CC will retain 10% interest in the project. Bezant Chair Colin Bird says the deal ‘demonstrates the company’s confidence in the Hope & Gorob Project. Our partner MKH has been very supportive throughout the process, and we look forward to a continuing relationship as Hope & Gorob moves as planned into production.’

Current stock price: 0.094 pence, closed up 11% in London on Tuesday
