IN BRIEF: Byrne to replace Murphy as Greencoat Renewables chair

Greencoat Renewables PLC - Dublin-based renewable energy infrastructure investor - Chair Ronan Murphy intends to retire at the conclusion of the 2026 annual general meeting on May 7, 2026. Murphy has served a board member since the company’s initial pulic offering in 2017. Appoints Bernard Byrne as chair designate, following a ‘comprehensive’ selection process. Byrne has been a non-executive director since May 2025. He serves as chair of Cairn Homes PLC, an Irish housebuilder.

‘It has been an honour to serve as chair of Greencoat Renewables since the company’s IPO in 2017,’ Murphy says and adds: ‘I am also delighted that Bernard will become my successor.’
