IN BRIEF: Forgent expecting to Peak Hill assay results by October 25
Forgent PLC - Australia-focused critical and precious metals exploration company - Says it expects to receive assay results from its Peak Hill Gold-Copper Project in Western Australia by October 25. The results will cover 56 phase II drill holes, including 30 holes drilled at Curley's, analysed for gold and copper, and the first 26 holes from Cathedral, a previously undrilled target. The enlarged phase II programme is expected to comprise about 142 holes for about 9,400 metres of drilling at Curley's and Cathedral. At Curley's, drilling is testing the continuity and scale of mineralisation identified during phase I. At Cathedral, drilling is providing the first systematic subsurface data from the previously undrilled target. Phase II drilling remains on track to finish by the end of November. Chief Executive Officer James Parsons comments: "We are entering an exciting phase at Peak Hill. The next assay results represent our first substantial body of phase II data and have the potential to materially advance our understanding of the scale and continuity of the mineralised systems we are testing."
