Foresight Group says strategic execution supports growth outlook
Foresight Group Holdings Ltd said it had a "period of successful strategic execution" in a trading update for the first six months of financial 2027, ended September 30.
Assets under management remained at £13.0 billion, unchanged from financial 2026, while funds under management increased to £9.1 billion from £9.0 billion.
The investment manager said it raised £224 million into higher-margin retail vehicles, compared with £223 million a year earlier. The partial realisation of global mass transit operator Kinetic reduced funds under management by £134 million, but generated performance fees for the group, Foresight said.
Foresight said recurring revenue is expected to be within the group's target range of 85% to 95%.
A final dividend of 19.0 pence per share was paid on October 2, contributing towards a total dividend of 27.1 pence per share in financial 2026.
Bernard Fairman, Executive Chairman of Foresight Group Holdings Ltd: "Looking ahead, the strategic imperative for energy security, renewable energy and enabling infrastructure investment, together with a maturing Foresight Energy Infrastructure Partners I portfolio, is expected to support further FEIP II fundraising beyond the EUR595 million raised to date."
FEIP is the company's flagship institutional energy transition fund.
"Whilst the timing of institutional real asset fundraising remains an important factor in the delivery of near-term consensus expectations, medium-term growth continues to be underpinned by our clear strategy, powerful sector tailwinds and a new product development pipeline that includes targeting Private Equity defence and Real Assets secondaries opportunities," Fairman said.
Shares in Foresight were down 4.1% to 430.50 pence per share on Thursday morning in London.
