Franchise Brands PLC - Macclesfield, England-based owner of franchise brands including Pirtek in Europe, Filta, Metro Rod and Metro Plumb - Appoints Neil Miller as chief financial officer, effective from Tuesday next week. Current CFO Andrew Mallows, who has held the position since June, 2024, will step down from the board on the same date to assume the newly created role of group delivery director. Franchise Brands notes that Miller was most recently group CFO of security solutions group Praesidiad. Its current priority is completing its integration, for which it wants ‘a clear focus on finance and on commercially focused delivery.’
Executive Chair Stephen Hemsley comments: ‘I am delighted we have attracted a new CFO of Neil Miller’s calibre. One of Franchise Brands’ key strategic priorities is to capitalise on the two-year long, multi-million-pound investment we have made in IT and integrating our three significant acquisitions. The appointment of a new CFO with a strong background in value creation and finance transformation will provide experience and focus in this area, whilst allowing Andrew to drive the more commercial benefits of group-wide integration...Neil and Andrew will play a key role in completing and realising the benefits of our B2B franchise platform which will be the cornerstone of our future organic and acquisitive growth.’
