IN BRIEF: Frontier IP names Shaun Claydon new chief financial officer

Frontier IP Group PLC - London-based company focused on commercialising intellectual property - Appoints Shaun Claydon as chief financial officer, effective immediately. His predecessor, Jo Stent, has stepped down. Frontier previously announced in November that Stent would be leaving by April 30 to ‘pursue an opportunity with a private equity-backed specialist financial services provider’. Notes on Tuesday that she will stay at Frontier ‘for an additional short period of time to ensure an orderly handover...and to provide additional support on both a corporate level and with certain portfolio companies.’

Claydon is currently a non-executive director of RedLeg Spiced Rum owner Distil PLC, and his most recent board position was as CFO of Actimed Therapeutics, ‘where he co-led a Series B equity funding round securing a multi-million investment for clinical programmes.’ He was also CFO of Destiny Pharma from 2018 to 2024. Frontier also notes his ‘extensive experience in financial consultancy and senior corporate finance roles including at HSBC Investment Banking, BDO LLP, Evolution Securities PLC and PwC.’

‘Shaun brings significant expertise and experience, particularly in areas of key focus for our portfolio companies, including equity fundraising, IPOs and M&A,’ comments Chief Executive Neil Crabb. ‘He will play a vital role in the next stage of our growth as we focus on developing our portfolio companies towards exit.’
