IN BRIEF: Jardine Matheson CEO and director buy USD1 million in shares

Jardine Matheson Holdings Ltd - Hong Kong-based holding company with interests in retail, property, hotels and motor dealerships - Chief Executive Lincoln Pan buys 7,500 shares at USD66.92, worth USD501,900, and Director Ming Lu buys 7,400 shares at USD66.57, worth USD492,612, on Friday in Singapore. Jardine on Thursday had said it will raise its dividend following a strong first half. Attributable net profit increased 3% to USD542 million in the six months that ended June 30 from USD528 million a year before. Pretax profit increased to USD1.88 billion from USD1.76 billion. Jardine Matheson declared an interim dividend of 65 US cents per share, up 8% from 60 cents.
