IN BRIEF: Old Mutual promotes Soul Abraham as Old Mutual Insure CEO

Old Mutual Ltd - Anglo-South African financial services firm - Appoints Soul Abraham as chief executive officer-designate of Old Mutual Insure, its wholly owned subsidiary. Names Ranen Thakurdin as group chief risk officer. Says both executives will serve as members of its executive committee. Abraham is chief executive of retail insurance at Old Mutual Insure. He will take over from Charles Nortje from April 1, 2026 and will become CEO-designate from January 1. Nortje will retire on December 31, 2026. Thakurdin is chief accountant, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer Casper Troskie.

‘These appointments reflect a well-considered succession process and demonstrate the depth of our leadership bench, enabling us to navigate change with clarity and confidence,’ Old Mutual CEO Jurie Strydom says.
