IN BRIEF: Rank names ex-Manchester United finance chief as interim CFO

Rank Group PLC - Maidenhead, England-based owner of Grosvenor Casino and Mecca Bingo - Says Cliff Baty has been appointed as interim chief financial officer effective next week Monday. Cliff, who held the CFO position at football club Manchester United PLC from 2016 to 2024, is welcomed by Rank as a ‘highly experienced CFO with deep expertise in strategic and financial planning, investor relations, financial controls, international business operations, and stakeholder management’. Baty was also formerly CFO of gambling technology firm Sportech PLC, a position which followed a 8-year stint as financial director of Ladbrokes PLC.

The appointment is part of an executive reorganisation following the retirement of former chief executive officer John O’Reilly.
