IN BRIEF: Severfield CFO Adam Semple to depart after almost 8 years

Severfield PLC - Thirsk, North Yorkshire-based maker of structural steel in the UK and India - Chief Financial Officer Adam Semple steps down from the board and as CFO at the end of October, after almost eight years as CFO. Semple will remain in his post to support a smooth handover, says Severfield. Adds that the process to appoint a successor is underway, with interim arrangements being finalised.

‘On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Adam for his significant contribution to the group over the past 12 years. In particular, during the past six months, he has provided continuity and leadership at a time of transition, including stepping up to help guide the business while we operated without a CEO,’ says Non-Executive Chair Charlie Cornish.

Current stock price: 32.30 pence, down 1.8% in London on Thursday afternoon
