IN BRIEF: Shuka to seal Leopard Exploration deal after antitrust okay

Shuka Minerals PLC - Africa-focused mine operator and developer - Receives interim unconditional authorisation from the Competition & Consumer Protection Commission in Zambia to acquire Leopard Exploration & Mining Ltd. Leopard Exploration is a Zambian mining and exploration company that owns the Kabwe zinc mine.

Approval from the competition body is the final clearance required by the company to complete its acquisition of Leopard Exploration, the company says. ‘The authorisation has been granted following a decision by the technical committee of the board of commissioners of the CCPC to grant approval for the acquisition to proceed,’ it adds.

Current stock price in London: 7.00 pence, up 75% on Wednesday

12-month change: down 19%

Current stock price in Johannesburg: R 1.65

12-month change: listed on JSE early last month
