eEnergy wins PS500,000 contract with NHS trust in Plymouth

eEnergy Group PLC on Monday reported it has won a contract with University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust, via the NHS Commercial Solutions framework.

The London-based net zero energy services provider said the contract, worth £517,692, involves the delivery of a full LED lighting upgrade across 19 wards at Plymouth Derriford Hospital.

As part of the deal, eEnergy worked with the trust on the application and drawdown of funding from the NHS Energy Efficiency Fund, part of the new Great British Energy public sector finance initiative.

‘Delivering this project with Plymouth NHS Trust marks another proud moment in our growing success across the healthcare sector. As the UK accelerates the decarbonisation of its public estate, we’re proving that energy efficiency upgrades can be delivered with minimal disruption, maximum impact, and without upfront cost,’ said Chief Executive Officer Harvey Sinclair.

‘Being awarded a Bronze rating by EcoVadis is a strong endorsement of our commitment to Net Zero and responsible business. It’s a great recommendation - but we’re not done yet. We know there’s more to do, and we’re determined to keep raising the bar for our clients and for the planet.’

Shares in eEnergy were up 4.8% at 4.61 pence in London on Monday morning. The stock is down 30% over the past year.
