Foresight Solar Fund Chair Ohlsson retires, replaced by Tony Roper

Foresight Solar Fund Ltd on Tuesday said Alex Ohlsson has retired from the board and as chair of the firm after the conclusion of Tuesday’s board meeting.

The investor in solar and battery storage assets said the move concludes its previously announced succession plan.

Tony Roper has taken over as chair of the board and of the management engagement committee.

Roper joined the board as an independent non-executive director in November 2024. He was previously the fund manager for HSBC Infrastructure Co Ltd, now HICL Infrastructure PLC.

‘As previously announced, today was Alex Ohlsson’s last day as a non-executive director of FSFL. On behalf of the board, I would like to thank him for his contribution over many years and for his guidance during this transition. We wish him well in his future endeavours,’ said Chair Tony Roper.

Shares in Foresight Solar Fund closed flat at 79.00 pence in London on Tuesday.
