Kazera Global shares rise as it sets 30,000-tonne monthly target
Kazera Global PLC on Wednesday said it is progressing operational planning for the Walviskop heavy mineral sands operation in South Africa and has set an initial target production rate of around 30,000 tonnes per month.
Kazera shares rose 6.0% to 1.59 pence on Wednesday afternoon in London.
The mining investment firm focused on early-stage assets said its wholly owned subsidiary Whale Head Minerals has prepared an interim operational plan for operations being developed with South Africa AT Investments.
The plan targets a progressive increase in heavy mineral concentrate production to approximately 30,000 tonnes per month, with production expected to commence in early 2027.
Kazera said the plant and equipment are being mobilised and are expected to arrive in South Africa during November.
The company currently estimates a free-on-truck selling price for its heavy mineral concentrate of between USD165 and USD170 per tonne.
Kazera said the potential cash-flow profile of its Whale Head Minerals subsidiary would be "totally transformed" if the targeted production rates are achieved but stressed the mine plan remains subject to further input and finalisation with South Africa AT Investments.
