London Security eyes European expansion as interim profit rises

London Security PLC on Wednesday said revenue and profit increased in the first half of the year as the company progressed its acquisition strategy.

The fire protection equipment and services company rose 4.1% to 3,800.00 pence on Wednesday afternoon in London.

Elland, England-based London Security reported that revenue for the first six months of 2026 increased 9.2% to £127.6 million, from £116.9 million a year earlier.

Pretax profit rose 15% to £14.1 million, from £12.3 million, and operating profit were 14% higher at £14.1 million, compared with £12.4 million.

Cost of sales increased 5.6% to £34.1 million, from £32.3 million.

London Security said it had continued investing in its engineering workforce, which was now operational and whose performance was expected to accelerate through the year after the initial period of training.

The company noted that, despite moderating inflation, it continued to experience price pressures on its supplies, which it said had been passed onto customers where possible.

London Security said it aims to grow through acquisitions in Europe and said it would "invest at the upper end of the price spectrum."

The company highlighted it had completed the takeover of Lindum Fire Services Ltd to strengthen its presence in the UK and had acquired service contracts existing subsidiaries from other sources in the Netherlands and the UK.
