Made Tech shares soar as ups guidance after largest ever contract win
Made Tech Group PLC on Tuesday said it expects to report revenue and adjusted earnings ahead of market expectations after landing the "largest contract award in the company's history".
The news sent shares in the provider of digital, data and technology services to the UK public sector up 11% to 42.35 pence each in London on Tuesday morning.
London-based Made Tech said it is part of a consortium that has won a "significant new four-year contract with a UK government department".
The deal is worth over £40 million to Made Tech across its four-year span, and Chief Executive Rory MacDonald said it is the "largest contract award in the company's history".
Revenue from the award is expected to commence in the financial year ending May 31, 2027, with a more significant contribution expected in the following financial year.
As a result, Made Tech now expects revenue between £63 million and £66 million and adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation between £6.3 million and £6.6 million for financial 2027, ahead of current market expectations.
It puts consensus at £6.0 million for Ebitda and £60.3 million for revenue.
Made Tech releases financial 2026 results next month, and said it will provide "further colour" on the outlook at that stage.
In the financial year that ended May 31, 2025, Made Tech reported revenue of £46.4 million and adjusted Ebitda of £3.5 million.
Including the new contract, Made Tech said its current contracted backlog has increased to around £115 million.
"The award also endorses our position at the centre of a number of critical programmes across government. Importantly, it also provides greater visibility over future revenues," said CEO Macdonald.
