Petards wins number plate recognition system order for UK police force

Petards Group PLC on Monday said its subsidiary has received an order worth almost £300,000 from one of its clients in the UK police force.

The Guildford, England-based security, communication and surveillance systems developer said subsidiary QRO Solutions received the order for automatic number plate recognition systems.

The order is for the supply and installation of QRO’s NASBox roadside ANPR systems, adding to those which Petards already operates in the unnamed region under a framework agreement.

The systems are scheduled to be delivered and installed during the current financial year.

‘We are delighted that QRO has again been selected by this customer to supply its roadside ANPR technology which we believe continues to illustrate the high levels of confidence customers have in QRO’s products, and the value they place on the high quality of customer service it provides,’ said Chair Raschid Abdullah.

Shares in Petards were up 2.9% at 7.98 pence each in London on Monday morning.
