Segro appoints Susanne Schroeter-Crossan as chief financial officer

Segro on Thursday named Susanne Schroeter-Crossan as its new chief financial officer and executive director, effective December 1.

The London-based property developer and investor said current CFO and Director Soumen Das will remain at the company until the end of 2025 to ease the transition. Das announced plans to retire back in April.

Schroeter-Crossan is currently CFO of Berlin-based freight and logistics company sennder Technologies GmbH. This followed a three-year tenure as CFO of Dusseldorf-based real estate firm LEG Immobilien SE, as well as senior positions at Morgan Stanley, Standard Chartered PLC and Deutsche Bank EG.

Schroeter-Crossan also holds a non-executive supervisory role on the board of fashion e-retailer Zalando SE. Earlier in June, Schroeter-Crossan stepped down from the board of meal kit delivery service HelloFresh SE.

Segro’s Chief Executive David Sleath commented: ‘I am delighted that Susanne will be joining SEGRO at such an exciting time as we are set to build on our market-leading positions in the industrial, logistics and data centre sectors.’

Schroeter-Crossan said she expects to leverage knowledge ‘gained from working with data-driven companies across sectors that benefit from the same long-term structural trends as Segro.’

Segro shares were down 0.1% at 699.80 pence each on Thursday morning in London.
