SkinBioTherapeutics PLC said on Tuesday that Chief Operating Officer Simon Hewitson is stepping away from the skin-focused life sciences company on personal grounds.

The Newcastle, England-based business said Hewitson’s duties are being managed by Chief Executive Officer Stuart Ashman and Group Finance Director Emily Bertram.

SkinBioTherapeutics said it has begun recruitment for Hewitson’s successor.

Chair of SkinBioTherapeutics Martin Hunt said: ‘Simon has been a good support to the business, particularly working with our divisional companies, Bio-Tec Solutions and Dermatonics. We wish him and his family well for the future.’

Shares in SkinBioTherapeutics fell 1.6% to 14.02 pence on Tuesday afternoon in London.
