UPDATE: India and emerging markets trusts welcome new WhiteOak manager

Ashoka India Equity Investment Trust PLC - high conviction, long-only investor for capital appreciation in securities listed, or with a high presence, in India - Hiren Dasani is appointed as co-portfolio manager, starting on Tuesday next week. Dasani is joining the trust’s Singapore-based investment manager, WhiteOak Capital, as chief investment officer of emerging markets. He will be co-portfolio manager alongside Prashant Khemka and Ayush Abhijeet. Dasani joins WhiteOak from Goldman Sachs Asset Management, part of Goldman Sachs Group Inc, where he worked for 18 years, including as co-head of global emerging markets equity since May 2017.

Ashoka WhiteOak Emerging Markets Trust PLC says Dasani also will be its portfolio manager, alongside Prashant Khemka, Fadrique Balmaseda and Loong Lim. Dasani and Khemka worked together at Goldman Sachs for 10 years.
