Volution expects annual earnings per share above market expectations
Volution Group PLC on Thursday said it expects annual adjusted earnings to beat market expectations after delivering broad-based margin expansion, resilient organic growth and a contribution from acquisitions.
The Crawley, England-based energy efficiency and indoor air-quality solutions firm said it expects adjusted earnings per share of around 38.0 pence for the year ending July 31, up 15% from a year before and around 4% ahead of current market consensus.
According to the firm, current annual market forecasts compiled by Bloomberg are adjusted earnings per share in the range of 35.2p to 37.1p, with a consensus of 36.4p.
Volution expects revenue to grow around 15%, helped by the acquisition of AC Industries in Australasia, while organic revenue growth is expected to be around 3% at constant currency.
The company said its strongest organic growth is expected in Continental Europe, where revenue is forecast to rise between 5.5% and 6% at constant currency, driven by a recovery in the Nordics and strong demand for heat recovery solutions in the Netherlands and North Macedonia.
Australasia is expected to deliver organic growth of between 3.0% and 3.5%, with AC Industries performing well in its first six months under Volution's ownership.
In the UK, revenue is expected to be broadly flat as resilient residential refurbishment demand, particularly in social housing, offsets continued weakness in residential new-build and commercial markets.
Volution said adjusted operating margins expanded across all three regions, supported by pricing discipline, cost control, factory efficiencies, procurement initiatives and new product introductions. The addition of AC Industries also boosted group margins in the second half.
The company expects operating cash conversion to exceed its 90% target and forecasts leverage of around 1.6 times net debt to earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation, excluding leases, at the financial year-end.
Chief Executive Ronnie George said: "We are pleased to update the market on another strong year of progress for Volution which extends the group's track record of delivering strong and consistent compounding earnings growth."
Volution will report full-year results on October 8.
Shares in the company rose 1.9% to 647.00 pence in London on Thursday morning.
