How can I pay money into my account?
Answer
You can instantly pay money into your account by just logging in and selecting the ‘Single payment’ option. Depending on your account type, there are a number of different options available to you for deposits:
- Pay by bank: This is available for ISAs, SIPPs, and Dealing accounts and is the easiest way to pay into your account. Money paid in will appear instantly in your account.
- Debit card: This is available for all accounts, with money paid in appearing in your account by 3pm the next working day. Bear in mind that your card may have transaction limits if you’re making a large, single payment. It may be worth speaking to your bank to understand what your card limits are. You can use a combination of debit card and pay by bank if you have limits on your card.
- Direct Debit: These are regular payments taken from your nominated bank account on the first working day of the month. It’ll take 3 to 5 working days to show online. To set this up, just select ‘Regular payments’. When paying by debit card, your card must be registered in your own name and to your home address.
- Faster payments via online banking: This is available for paying money into your transaction account for our Cash savings hub.
If you have a SIPP, your employer can contribute to it either by cheque or Direct Debit.
