What happens when my fixed term savings account ends?

Answer

When your fixed-term savings account is coming to an end, we’ll contact you to let you know. This is usually around four weeks before the maturity date. You’ll then have time to consider what to do next.

When your term is up, your original deposit (with any interest or profit) is paid into your transaction account within two working days of the maturity date.

Once the money is in your transaction account, you can:

  • Deposit it in another savings account from those available, or
  • Withdraw it to your registered bank account
