Will the interest or profit rate on my notice account ever change?
Answer
The interest rate on your saving account will depend on the type of account you've opened.
Fixed term accounts
With a fixed term account, your rate stays the same. It won't change during the term.
Notice accounts
With a notice account, the rate can change - so it may go up or down.
If the rate changes:
- The bank will tell you
- The amount of notice you get will depend on your account terms
- You can choose to give notice and take your money out if you want to
Easy access accounts
With an easy access account, the rate can also change - meaning it too could go up or down. If the rate changes, the bank will let you know.
How we’ll tell you
If any rate changes, we’ll send you an email to confirm the change.
